At the IDEA Conference, every year, a Best Graduate Paper Award is given to a young scholar to encourage their academic growth.
Eligibility and Procedure
- The candidate must be a graduate student (at Master’s or doctoral level) at the time of the conference presentation.
- They must have received an acceptance letter provided by the conference organization committee, and are expected to send their full paper to the Best Graduate Paper Award Committee via ideagradaward@gmail.com by April 12, 2026, 23:59 the latest.
- The papers should be 2500–2750 words, written in Times New Roman 12 font and double-spaced. They should follow MLA 9th edition format, and must be saved as an MS Word document. Other formats are not accepted.
- Papers are evaluated in two rounds: 1) Written format; 2) Oral delivery, by faculty members from institutions other than those of the candidates to ensure objectivity.
- Prior to the conference, the full papers (written format) are double-blind reviewed, and during the conference, the oral delivery of the papers is evaluated by at least two jury members different from the blind reviewers who have evaluated the written copy.
- The paper that has earned the highest points overall is determined by the sum of written and oral presentation evaluations.
- The winner will be announced and the Award will be presented at the closing session on the last day of the conference.
- The papers can be presented individually. If there are multiple presenters, then all candidates must be graduate students, in which case the monetary award will be divided equally among the presenters.
